After treatment and disinfection, hospital sewage should meet the following standards:
1. Sampling 500 ml each for three consecutive times for inspection, and no intestinal pathogenic bacteria and tuberculosis bacilli shall be detected. The total number of coliforms shall not exceed 500 per liter. When chlorination is used for disinfection, the contact time and the residual chlorine content in the effluent from the contact pool should meet the requirements of the following table:

2. The sludge in the sewage treatment structure must undergo harmless treatment, and the sludge discharge should meet the following standards:
(1) The mortality of roundworm eggs is greater than 95%;
(2) The value of fecal coliform bacteria is not less than 10-2;
(3) For every 10 grams of sludge (in the original sample), no intestinal pathogenic bacteria and tuberculosis bacilli shall be detected.
3. When the sludge is harmlessly treated by high-temperature composting, the temperature of the compost must be greater than 50°C and should last for more than 5 days.
4. In hospitals without upper and lower sewer equipment or centralized sewage treatment structures, the feces with infectious diseases must be individually disinfected or otherwise harmless
5. After treatment and disinfection of hospital sewage, the content of pollutants and harmful substances contained in it should meet the requirements of current relevant standards.
